Warhammer Online :: Reckoning the delay

Written by: Firedorn Category: Gaming

war-shield_small_black.jpgWell, it seems like the folks @ Mythic have decided to delay their upcoming MMO Warhammer Online to make sure the game is more polished for release. I, for one, am happy with the decision that Mythic has made and appreciate the fact that it is a tough decision to make.

But the bottom line remains exactly that; the BOTTOM LINE. If Mythic was to push an incomplete, bug-ridden product out the door, coupled with the fact that 2008 will have other MMOs to be released, along with two current MMOs releasing a much-anticipated expansion…well needless to say, that would be suicidal. The last thing you need is to get hundreds of thousands of new clients angry at you for selling them garbage and then having to create your own E.T. landfill with your coasters.

Well, kudos to Mythic and here’s to a successful launch in Fall 2008 (no more delays, right?). Although I want to see this game right now, I am confident that they’re on the home stretch and things will turn out well. Heck, I’d even be willing to participate in beta (*cough* invite pls *cough*) to help ensure the product shapes up pretty well.

In the mean time, we keep our eyes solidly fixed on the horizon and wait for things to come…quickly!
